The Green Solution House conference centre and hotel in the Danish island of Bornholm is designed to be a platform for the highest level of sustainable development.
Monitoring Resource Consumption
A custom-built a mobile app tracks resource consumption and allows for easy control the indoor environments within the Smart Rooms at The Green Solution House. Energy, light, air and water are four themes on which live feedback is provided to the guests, helping to inform behaviour by increasing awareness at a personal level. When it comes to indoor comfort, the app helps the guests correlate their own experience in the hotel rooms to the quality of the air and daylight levels.
An Interactive Resource Overview
In the lobby of The Green Solution House, a large touch screen informs guest of the overall energy consumption of the building. Interacting with this screen draws awareness to the innovative solutions and technologies employed throughout the building.
