Informed Design are about the use of software to inform the process on a range of issues such as day-lighting, energy use, and local climate conditions before the final design is locked down. Using parametric software tools, we can optimize the building design taking into account a range of issues. For example, we can follow sun patterns orsee how weather considerations anywhere in the world affect our initial sketches at a very early stage. This allows us to create smarter buildings, that perform better, are more cost effective, and fulfill the needs of its users to a much higher extend.
"90% of a building's form is decided in the first 10% of our design process. To inform our architecture we have developed a series of software that provides live feedback on daylight quality and environmental impact, already in the early sketching"
